Electrothermal ferrophosphorus

Chemical Formula: FeP, Fe₂P
- Standard: GOST 34500-2018
- Appearance: Metallic luster chunks.
Applications:
- Steel and cast iron alloying – Ferrophosphorus increases hardness, strength, and wear resistance of metals.
- Desulfurization – Reduces sulfur content in steel, improving its quality.
- Production of anti-corrosion alloys – Enhances resistance to aggressive environments.
- Electrode manufacturing – Used in welding electrodes to improve their heat and corrosion resistance.
- Chemical industry – Component in the production of phosphorus-containing compounds.
- Manufacturing of antifriction materials – Used in alloys for bearings and high-load components.
- Ferroalloy production – Additive in the manufacturing of other ferroalloys to improve their properties.
Physical and Chemical Indicators:
- Chunk weight should not exceed 25 kg.
- Fine fraction passing through a 20 mm sieve should not exceed 5–20% of the total shipment.
- Minor slag (non-metallic) inclusions visible to the naked eye may be present on fracture surfaces.
